I know loads of people that regularly took their kids to UP. Kids for a quid games were also very popular.

hahaha

i cant work out if you are a nonce or a bender.
either way you shouldn't be hanging around toilets like you do.

so you think anyone who goes west ham outside of families are 'knuckle draggers'? nice to know.

Re: Summer Transfer window rumours/discussion thread.
Villa have spent £135m that's crazy money for a newly promoted club. Someone posted the other day that the Villa owners are worth over £10b or something like that. I thought the whole purpose of FFP was to stop billionaires buying clubs and doing a Chelsea or a Man City. I realise the FFP rules have been relaxed but Villa have done something this window in terms of finances that i didn't think was possible any more.

Re: Summer Transfer window rumours/discussion thread.
UP was not a great experience for kids and families to go to in the end, football is meant to fun for all, not just the knuckle draggers. I think the fact that its now 60k and made up of kids, families etc adds to enjoyment of the game rather than the old toxic fans that just want to shout at the away supporters, football has evolved and i for one like what it now is.

What is it about the OS that makes it a good football ground?

Re: Summer Transfer window rumours/discussion thread.
People seemed very divided on Villa and Everton,

Everton I think have improved overall and maybe added a star player.

Villa, honestly, hard to say with that much turnover, but then I didn't pick them to go down, so I must think they have done something right -ish.

East Stand Pat 3:04 Fri Aug 9
Re: Summer Transfer window rumours/discussion thread.
no thats not what makes a football ground but it is one of the things that made UP a shit hole.

Re: Summer Transfer window rumours/discussion thread.
McGinn and Mings were both excellent last season. Mings has improved massively and McGinn would be a quality addition to any squad. Villa fans rate McGinn way higher than Grealish - and they love Grealish.

i'm sure everyone will thank you for cleaning them, because that's what makes a football ground isn't it?

Mings is their "star" centre back now, after doing decent in the championship they now think he's the second coming of Franz Beckenbauer

he will be "at least in the england squad and possibly starting by the end of the season" was a particular favourite quote of mine.

As a left back mings probably does walk into our first 11.

Re: Summer Transfer window rumours/discussion thread.
Work with a few Villa fans and showing them the talksport predicted lineup for villa they seem very confident of a comfortable mid table finish (10-12th) when looking through it nobody other than Grealish jumps out as a quality player,

But they seem to have very very highly inflated opinions of their players especially John mcGinn and Mings who they said would both walk into our starting 11.

I made sure to sufficiently put them back in their place

i'd say first 15 or so stronger?

That's simply not true. First 11 is stronger, depth of squad is weaker.

Re: Summer Transfer window rumours/discussion thread.
We will score many against teams who don’t defend well.

Teams who defend well, gain possession and who can break well will punish us.

Much relies on whether we can retain possession and our passing. I like the Pellegrini philosophy of passing football with technical players brought in. Wilshere, Lanzini, Yarmolenko, Fornals, Haller.

Anderson gives the ball away too much, so does Antonio and Fredericks when he runs forward, that’s when we can get hit on the break.

We still need a more technical RB and LB and a box to box CDM to chase, close down and regain possession when we give it away. Rice can’t win the midfield all on his own and will be overrun most games. Midfield is where most games are won and lost and we have no battlers there only showboaters.
